Cosmetic Tattoo
At Lauren Elyse & Co, we offer a range of customised cosmetic tattooing procedures, meticulously tailored to enhance each client’s unique facial features.
Every tattooing service includes a comprehensive consultation beforehand, where we discuss a wide selection of colours, mapping styles, and techniques to achieve your desired look. Clients also receive a professional aftercare kit with detailed instructions to ensure optimal healing and long-lasting results.
Our Brow tattoo services include:
Microblading ($650)
Semi permanent form of cosmetic tattooing that creates natural feather like brow strokes. This form of cosmetic tattoo is used to thicken the brow by adding additional strokes to create a soft, fluffy look that replicates the natural hair.
Combination Brows ($650)
Is a blend of microblading and powder/ shading through the brow. This is by far the most popular brow service in the salon as it allows beautiful front feather strokes with a blend of shading through the arch and tail of the brow. This technique is great for ladies who have no hairs, sparse brows or just sick of filling them in daily and after a more permanent solution. If you are a client longing to never fill in your brows again then combination brows are for you.
Ombre/ Powder Brows ($650)-
Is a permanent brow technique that uses a machine to tattoo on tiny dots of pigment into the skin. This is known as ombre shading/powder effect. This creates a beautiful shaded look to enhance the brow and create a defined and fuller brow.
All PMU Services do require a 12-18 month top up. Prices start at $300
Lip blush/Lip Tattoo
Lip Blush (also known as Lip Tattoo) has taken our salon by storm. Lip Blush is wonderful to match any favorite lipstick colour to your lips permanently.
Lip blush is a tattooing technique that includes outer lip liner then a blend through by tattooing tiny dots of pigment into the lip with a handheld tattoo machine.
Benefits of Lip Blush:
Perfects symmetry.
Enhances Lip Colour.
Definition.
Creates a fuller lip effect.
At Lashes By Lauren Elyse we have a large variety of colours and can match any lipstick colour to your lips.
Preparation & Aftercare Cosmetic Tattoo
-
Skin Preparation (14 days before)
Avoid facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or laser treatments – these thin the skin and affect retention.
Don’t use retinol, AHA/BHA, or exfoliating products near your brows.
Stop using self-tanners on the face, as they can distort pigment colour.
Medical & Medication Considerations
Do not take blood-thinning medications or supplements (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) at least 48 hours before – unless prescribed by your doctor.
Avoid alcohol 24–48 hours before (these thin the blood).
If you’re prone to cold sores and getting lip tattoo as well, you may need to take an antiviral (ask your doctor).
Lifestyle & Beauty Prep
Avoid botox or fillers near the brows at least 2–4 weeks before.
Don’t get a spray tan within 7 days of your appointment.
Arrive with your brows in their natural state – no tint, wax, or threading within 5 days before.
Wash your hair before the appointment (you’ll need to avoid wetting brows after).
Day of Appointment
Come with a clean face, no makeup, oils, or moisturiser around the brows.
Have a light meal so your blood sugar is stable.
Wear comfortable clothes and plan for a few hours in the chair.
Bring any inspo photos of brow styles you like.
-
Skin & Lip Care (7–14 days before)
Exfoliate gently with a lip scrub or soft toothbrush a few times leading up to your appointment (not the day of).
Keep lips hydrated with balm daily – cracked or dry lips won’t hold pigment well.
Avoid chemical peels, laser, or harsh exfoliants near the mouth.
Medical & Medication Considerations
If you’ve ever had cold sores, you’ll need to take an antiviral medication (e.g. Valtrex/Zovirax) prescribed by your doctor, starting a day or two before and continuing after. This is essential – lip trauma often triggers cold sores, which can ruin results.
Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and alcohol for 24–48 hours before, unless prescribed by your doctor, as they thin the blood.
Beauty & Lifestyle Prep
No botox or fillers near the lips for 4 weeks before.
Don’t do a spray tan within a week – it alters pigment colour.
Avoid lip waxing, tinting, or bleaching 3–5 days before.
Do not microneedle or dermaplane around the mouth area close to your appointment.
Day of Appointment
Arrive with clean lips – no balm, makeup, or oils.
Eat a light meal before (treatments can last a few hours).
Stay hydrated – but don’t overdo caffeine that morning (it can increase sensitivity).
Bring along any favourite lip shades if you’d like to show your artist the tones you love.
